How to erect containment, including mini-containment and demonstrating the principle of exit and decontamination chambers
Dismantling of containment with proper techniques
Material selection for small or large projects
Establishing and monitoring negative pressure
How to determine if an environment is pressurized to prevent cross contamination
Managing airflow in each of the contained areas
Effective and controlled demolition techniques
Safe and clean removal of drywall and other materials with simulated microbial contamination and dust control methods
Effective HEPA vacuuming and cleaning procedures
Removal of simulated mold from wood studs
Disposal procedures and containment (bagging) of contaminated materials

The Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT) training certification covers a lot in this 4-day course! We will work hard to help attendees learn about containment, job scale determination, mitigation and prevention techniques, cleaning, removal of mold affected materials, deodorization, contents processing, job site conduct, emergency services, prevention and documentation of residential and commercial mold affected structures Upon completing this course students are invited to engage in a written exam to obtain their IICRC Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT) certification. To obtain a passing grade a 75% is required. Additionally, continuing CEC credits are available to maintain your certifications and designations. Attendees will be able to demonstrate that they are prepared to perform and document sewage removal, containment and mold remediation in residential or commercial projects.

This mold training certification course focuses on the determination of mold, its causes, the impact of water on building materials, site management, cleaning options, containment and more. This applied microbial remediation training teaches the impact of not just the mold growth itself but the principles behind preventive measures, removal and drying of the materials to ensure if to does not return. Mold remediation can be very stressful on all material interested parties. This course is a natural segway into other IICRC certifications such as Health and Safety Technician, Odour Control Technician, Applied Structural Drying Technician and more! Students attending this IICRC Mold certification training will also learn about the often overlooked hazards of sewage infiltration into homes and properties alike. Sewage water is considered Category 3 water. This is grossly unsanitary and contains pathogens, but also is disease causing. An improperly handled loss can cause health problems for the occupants returning safely. This certification course addresses sources of Category 3 water intrusions, principles of removal and safe handling, use of appropriate specialized products, decontamination procedures and in detail addresses the primary and secondary sewage biohazards.

In today’s ever changing market landscape, we also have to know how to address and work with customers that are uncertain of our mold removal processes. Customers may not know our industry is certified and courses to obtain a professional certification are available for professionals to perform this work! In this applied microbial remediation training course, you will learn how to support customers during the removal processes.

Customers today are more educated, are more integrated with sustainable practices and are aware of their personal safety. Its important to learn to support them and advise customers to vacate the area during remediation processes and how we can support them with use of specialty equipment and restorative removal and cleaning practices.

*Water Restoration Technician (WRT) is a mandatory prerequisite course needed in order to become certified in Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT) and/or Applied Structural Drying (ASD)
Those taking the AMRT and/or ASD course exams must have already attended and passed the IICRC Certified Water Damage Restoration Technician course.

Those attendees who have neglected to obtain this prerequisite will NOT be eligible to write the exam nor will they be able to obtain credit for the course.

There is a $150 USD Exam fee payable at the time of exam to the IICRC payable with valid credit card.
